# Caras: Aplanar caras

Utilice la herramienta **Aplanar caras** para forzar dos o más caras de objetos en el mismo plano.

Cuando se seleccionan dos o más caras de objeto, puede seleccionar la herramienta **Aplanar caras** en el menú **contextual**. También puede acceder a **Aplanar caras** mediante el método abreviado **FL**.

**Aplanar caras** puede ser útil como herramienta de reparación cuando una cara que debería ser plana se faceta de forma inesperada (con bordes suaves entre las facetas), ya sea al importar datos de baja fidelidad como [modelos de SketchUp](https://formit.autodesk.com/blog/post/using-formit-to-get-sketchup-data-into-revit#flatten) o después de mover accidentalmente un vértice o un borde que provoca que una cara se facete o se triangule.

También puede utilizar la herramienta **Aplanar caras** como herramienta de diseño para alinear o alargar formas. Para ello, seleccione primero una superficie guía y, a continuación, elija caras adicionales para aplanar hasta el plano de la primera superficie.
