# Placing Primitives

1. In the [Action Toolbar](https://github.com/FormIt3D/autodesk-formit-360-windows-help/tree/c377e7b8a3b8e43e684321d0b7de867608d317a3/tool-library/tool-bars-extended.md) click to open the **Primitives button** and [select](/tool-library/select-edge-face-or-object.md) the cube. ![](/files/o1yC2v1VWqVQHqdaCcjZ)
2. Then drag and **click to place** the cube. ![](/files/-MlG7v-OvrZj1U5DzqeD)
3. While dragging the cube it will be shown with default dimensions. You can change those dimensions **while dragging** by hitting the **Tab** key. This will bring up a **Tool Options** dialog where the dimensions can be edited. ![](/files/-MlG7v-PT6eXA8tVvOzP)
4. After entering new values and hitting **OK**, the cube will be displayed with the new dimensions.
