# Properties

The **Properties Palette** displays information and data relevant to a selected object in the Formit Workplane.

Using the Properties Palette, you can edit the group of an object, assign an object to a layer, and change the material of an object.

## Editing from the Properties Palette

In FormIt 2023 and newer, you can modify properties of a vertex, edge, face, and volume via the Properites palette:
